I listen to that voice a few times a month and a ton during hunting season. I do miss hearing it in person. Custy ol bastard.

Rarely a day goes by when I don't smile or laugh while thinking about times with him. 
Got a good season planned......I'd trade it right now for 2 hours with him in that pisshole blind of his.
We'd walk out there, climb in, not even un-case our guns, have a pull of brandy, see no ducks at shooting time, have another pull of brandy, and he'd look over and say, in that gravely drawl of his, "what the f**k is wrong with us?".

I hope He beats Spook for shitting on the boat with a 5 gallon bucket. She takes it well. Spook and Foots are on my bench also.......just like they were many days in the marsh. John will travel the US in some mallard decoys all winter long, as he wanted it. If he gets lucky, someone will shoot the hand carved birds again Thia year
